word-list-es.js is generated from the rla-es Spanish hunspell dictionary,
originally developed by Santiago Bosio (https://github.com/sbosio/rla-es),
distributed via wooorm/dictionaries (https://github.com/wooorm/dictionaries).

Diccionario para corrección ortográfica en español de LibreOffice/Apache
OpenOffice (es_ES), version 2.8. Developed by Santiago Bosio, who currently
coordinates development of all localized dictionaries.

License: this spell-checking dictionary (affix file + word list, es_ES.aff /
es_ES.dic) is distributed under a triple, disjunctive license scheme: GNU GPL
version 3 or later, GNU LGPL version 3 or later, or MPL version 1.1 or later.
You may freely choose which of these licenses to use this dictionary under.

This project (igniosoft) uses this dictionary under the GPL-3.0-or-later option.

Notes on this derived file (word-list-es.js):
- Generated 2026-08-10 by expanding the dictionary's stems + affix rules into every
  valid inflected word form (via the nspell library's dictionary-loading routine),
  then filtered to 2-7 letter alphabetic entries (matches this tool's 7-tile Scrabble
  rack cap) and deduplicated.
- Per GPL, this modified/expanded version remains under GPL-3.0-or-later. This
  notice and the original license terms travel with the file; anyone is free to
  copy/redistribute it under the same terms.
- Note on Ñ: real Spanish Scrabble tiles include a distinct Ñ tile (not the same
  as N). This tool simplifies that for matching purposes -- since the letters
  field only accepts plain a-z input, ñ is treated the same as n for
  tile-matching, same simplification as the other languages' diacritics. Not
  tournament-accurate, but fine for casual/fun use. (This tool also doesn't
  model Spanish Scrabble's special CH/LL/RR digraph tiles.)
- This is a spell-check-derived word list, not the official Spanish Scrabble
  dictionary. It may be missing some obscure valid Scrabble words and may
  include some proper nouns or forms that wouldn't count in real play.
